In 2012, the owners of Harlyn Transport, a Montreal based intermodal transportation company, were seeking capital to sustain the operations of their business. Having been in the industry for over 25 years, they were not ready to retire, but were willing to sell a part of their business.

Rouge River acquired a majority interest in the business while keeping the existing team in place. Working together, the team invested in upgrading systems, improving financial discipline, and is now a regional market leader.
